WPS removed the "Disable Permanent Popup" option, but we still have a way to disable it permanently.

Permanently disable WPS hot news method

First, we right-click on the taskbar and click on Task Manager ▼

In the task manager, find the hotspot process "wpsnotify.exe" and right-click, click to select "Open file location"▼

• If there is no process, search for "wpsnotify.exe" on your computer.
• Typically, this hotspot information will be located at“C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Kingsoft\WPS Office\9.1.0.4866\wtoolex”folder.
• If it is not found, you can search for the name of the hotspot information in the installation folder and delete all the searched information ▼

Effectively block WPS hot news

In this folder, right click to create a blank text document and delete "wpsnotify.exe"▼

Next, we rename the newly created text file to "wpsnotify.exe" using the suffix exe ▼

• Below this, when WPS is a blank document, WPS will read the hotspot, with no content, so it won't pop up again.
