Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng says government will allocate RM50 billion to continue 2020living aidThe scheme will be expanded to 110 million single persons aged 40 and above with a monthly salary of less than RM2,000.
Disabled persons over the age of 18 and earning less than RM2,000 per month will also be covered.
2020BSHliving aid4 beneficiaries
In the 2020 BSH Living Assistance Program, there are 4 major beneficiary groups:
- Families with monthly household income of less than RM2000 will receive assistance of RM1000 per month
- Families with monthly household income below RM2001 to RM3000 can get RM750 assistance
- Families with monthly household income between RM3001 to RM4000 can receive RM500 assistance
- If there are children under the age of 18, each person can get an additional bonus of RM120, up to 4 people.
- For those above the age of 40, single persons earning less than RM2,000 per month will receive the aid.
- Physically disabled OKUs aged 18 or above are also entitled to RM300 assistance.
2020 BSH Living Assistance Application Conditions
- Malaysian Citizen
- Household income less than RM4000 per month
Applications for the BSH Life Assistance program are expected to begin by the end of 2020.
