- In other words, the tax you file in 2024 is based on your 2023 income.
- The tax filing deadline given by the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia is generally only a few months.
- You only have a few months to complete your income tax return, so you must keep all pay stubs, EA forms, and tax-deductible receipts in advance.
- If you file your tax return after the deadline, you will be fined.
- Also, you can be penalized if you underreport your income or overreport your tax deduction, so be honest.
Malaysian personal income tax returns can be submitted online through LHDN's ezHASIL platform, or in person at an LDHN branch.
Who needs to file taxes?
- Migrant workers or employers can declare their 2024 income from March 3, 1.
- The deadline to submit Form E is March 3;
- The deadline for BE is April 4;
- The deadline for Forms B and P is June 6.
- The deadline for BT, M, MT, TP, TF and TJ form submitters (non-merchant) is April 4;
- Business tax filing deadline is June 6!
