WordPress page and post relationship

Pages are similar to articles:

• They all have titles, text, and related information.
• But these pages are akin to permanent articles that don't usually follow the average blog post, fading into the latest articles list over time.
• Pages cannot be categorized or tagged, but they can have hierarchical relationships.
• You can append a page below another page.

Creating a new page is very similar to how you write an article, and you can customize the interface in the same way:

• Drag and drop and sort
• Display Options tab
• Expand and collapse modules
• This page also supports a full screen writing interface.
• The full-screen writing interface supports Visual and Text modes.

Difference Between WordPress Posts and Pages

The page editor is similar to the article editor, but some options in the page properties module are slightly different:

1) Parent:

• You can organize pages in a hierarchical fashion.
• For example, you can create an "About" page that contains "Life" with"meditation"'s subordinates.

The depth of the hierarchy is not limited.

2) Template:

• Some themes have custom templates that you can use on specific pages where you want to add new features or customize the layout.
• If so, you can see it in the dropdown menu.

3) Sort:

• By default, pages are sorted alphabetically.
• You can also customize the order of pages by specifying page numbers: 1 for the first; 2 for the next; and so on...
• Since WordPress 3.0 introduced the custom menu feature, this sort is rarely used.

Pages are often used to create separate content such as: about us, affiliate links,SEOSpecial topics, netizen contribution pages, etc...

log inWordPress backend → Pages→ All Pages

You can view all created pages▼

• You can set the number of items to display and the number of pages per page by clicking "Display Options" in the upper right corner.
• You can select pages in batches and then perform some batch operations, such as a batch move to the recycle bin.
• Move the mouse to the page title, the function menu "Edit, Quick Edit, Move to Recycle Bin, View" will be displayed.
• If you only want to edit the properties of some pages, you can use "Quick Edit" directly;
• To modify page content, you should use Edit.
